Students are required to maintain a blocked account to cover living expenses during their stay. As of January 1, 2022, the minimum amount for the blocked account is EUR 10,332 (approximately INR 9.2 lakhs per year) or EUR 861 (approximately INR 77,180 per month). This would ensure students cover the expenses of housing, travel, and food.

To apply for a German student visa for an MBA program, applicants must submit an offer letter, proof of sufficient financial means, academic transcripts, and a health insurance certificate. The visa fee is approximately €110 (INR 11,200), and students are permitted to work part-time for up to 120 full days or 240 half days per year. The visa processing time is around 8-12 weeks.

New Updates in the German Student Visa 2025

As of February 17, 2025, Germany has introduced the Consular Services Portal (digital.diplo.de) to streamline the student visa process. Applicants can now complete the German Visa application online, upload the required documents, and visit VSF Global only for biometrics, making the process faster and more efficient.

  7. 2-5 years of professional experience for full-time MBA programs.

The MBA duration in Germany ranges from 12 to 24 months, depending on the university as well as program type.

German and English Language Requirements
